He's more tolerant then most of the Ionian champions anyway. It turned out Kayn is actually a far more loyal and dependable student for his master , than Akali is for Shen...This surprised me, too. Yevnai over the deleted scene you mentioned in the boards:Sadly, I had a scene which further explained this but had to be cut.

What a delightful look into his character, for me! Are there any plans for Shen to discover the truth at some point in the future?I loved the story and just pro-ordered it online :) when I saw Kusho alive my jaw dropped LOL need more pleaseWill shen ever find out the truth about his father ?Are these stories cannon to the lore of the characters in the comics?Hey Waaargh, I feel kind of bad posting this but I suppose feedback (that is hopefully constructive) is better than silence. I thought the ending was even cute.Uh Akali is very loyal to Shen tho.

Kayn, Zed’s proudest disciple, refused to lift a finger to help his master, proclaiming himself the new Master.Khada Jhin remains on the run, while Zed is incapacitated and at risk of losing his powers. We didn't see how Zed "convinced" Kusho to do anything. To anyone reading this, my intent is not to dissuade you from enjoying the comic, this is just my feedback and I am sorry if it causes any altercations.

Zed is lured back to a village where he and Shen once encountered a great evil, a brutal killer from their past resurfaces: the magically gifted psychopath Khada Jhin! For Zed, spiritual harmony holds little consequence-he will do what needs to be done to see Ionia triumph. This final bit is all that Zed should be but this comic essentially forgets it to paint him as a noble figure that wants to have his cake and eat it too (balance in the land via the much weakened Kinkou plus shadow magic quinlons draining Vastaya and entire regions of magic). How is that feasible for the Kinkou to handle?

Zed and Shen finally face off! I understand if the intent is to paint them as hypocritical but, to me, the logic doesn't hold up at all and makes them feel idiotic.

The Master of Shadows against the Eye of Twilight. Khada Jhin’s master plan comes together in a most explosive and deadly manner!

If the intent was that Zed is simply angry because of Jhin, as opposed to the plan itself, i.e. Why even draw from shadow magic when there should be plenty of other magical forces in Ionia that a millennia old organization may draw from? With that said, as much as I admire the Kusho needed more build up, this was a 6 issue mini-series and, while we saw bits of Kusho scattered in flashbacks, he never came off as anything other than a man oriented with balance.

And I thought Zed realizing he wasn't a piece-of-shit master and father figure would be significant moment in his life. Zed knows what he's doing isn't exactly heroic most of the time... but it had to feel good to really, really know he trained Kayn well and earned his loyalty. So yes... you will be seeing Zed in other stories... where he is painted in a less favorable and much more villainous light.

Through Shen’s kindness, Zed was given a father and a brother, which only made Zed’s eventual betrayal even more heart-wrenching for Shen. The issue ends with the Master of Shadows unconscious and beaten, with his impending punishment decided by the Eye of Twilight.

In order to survive, Zed will be forced to confront his past sins and seek the aid of his most bitter enemy--the Eye of Twilight, Shen! Knowing that Nanthee’s dock had a custom of ringing the bell four times before passengers departed, Zed realized what the fourth ring would entail: utter destruction. The Master of Shadows decided to nip the problem in the bud with his usual method of murder, but Shen had other plans. Nothing changes except the Brotherhood now doesn't like Zed, Zed doesn't learn anything in particular and one of the most bland factions so far in lore (the Navori Brotherhood) goes back to square 1 as they were just before the comic, being devoid of any personality or purpose or important character and POV. The comic needed more scenes to hint that Kusho would ever be power-hungry or obsessed enough to tag along with Zed's plan, which is already not a great one.Worse yet, Kusho ends up being so crammed in page numbers that he needs to basically monologue like a Bond villain and explain his evil plan, which Zed should have been aware of for 10 years by now. Check out individual issues, and find out how to read them! In order to survive, Zed will be forced to confront his past sins and seek the aid of his most bitter enemy--the Eye of Twilight, Shen! Why be so adamant that the Kinkou need to remain neutral even when he's so clearly eager, as were others since apparently some people would join Zed, and even Mayym, his Fist of Shadow, argues for them to fight mere weeks later once Shen claims his role as Eye of Twilight.Zed's plan to "tell Shen without breaking his honor" doesn't really make sense.

They had you believe Kayn was arrogant enough to turn on Zed and lose himself to the darkness. In fact they are probabely closer than Zed and Kayn.this zed comic is the best took the wildest turn ever possible i coouldn't believe when i saw kusho alive and kayn didn't betray zed like in the past lore so that means zed rework may be happening?Kinda The Last Jedi vibes at the end.

Considering the following bits of his bio:Shadows enveloped Zed's mind, feeding his bitterness with contempt for the weak, and hinting at an ancient, dark magic. We do not see any contempt for the weak in this comic. Browse the Marvel comic series League of Legends: Zed (2019 - 2020).

Zed: Issue 4 By Odin Austin Shafer , Edgar Salazar , Lorenzo Ruggiero , Chris O'Halloran Khada Jhin's master plan comes together in a most explosive and deadly manner!
