The animation is inconsistent. The story beats would be interesting except the animation quality is so schizophrenic it becomes unwatchable.

After reading reviews, I now realize this is based on a game, only taking the concept behind the Divine Comedy into account. I know about the Divine comedy but haven't read it, I also don't know the game, so I can't say how it stands up to either.

I did not have sky-high expectations from the start (I was not expecting a Hiyao Miyazaki) but I thought it was decently entertaining. I'll review this as a film and not be biased towards the game,I've only played the demo anyway,it's great, the animation is superb and using differing studios for several segments is a nice idea, individually the animation is better than the Deadspace film and has more of a feel of those animated Shakespeares and not too Manga either,a surprise. Most of the animation is detailed and pretty but some of it is wack.

It's great if you don't have preconceived expectations Unless you're a fan of the game this is based on or familiar with Dante's Divine Comedy, it might be a bit hard to follow the events as they come and pass by rather fast.

It's much more violent than I'd anticipated, but since I am not familiar with the game it is based on, this could be an accurate portrayal. „Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic” nimmt Sie mit auf eine Höllenfahrt, bei der Dante den Mächtigen des Bösen trotzt, sowie außergewöhnlich fantasiereiche Dämonen und Monster tötet, um seine Geliebte Beatrice aus den Fängen des Höllenmeisters Luzifer zu befreien.

Tony Abatemarco (voice) Lying Defendant / Farinata. Worse still, it is poorly written (for example: lies regarding Salah ad'Din) and has Dante (the main character) yelling or screaming most of his lines - even in places where not-yelling would have been more appropriate and powerful! Spannungsgeladener Katastrophen-Film. It is inspired by Dante Alighieri's epic poem, the 'Divine Comedy' (written in the 14th century), one of the greatest pieces of world literature. It does keep up with a good amount of the plot points and events of the game, it misses the mark on some of the elements that made tge game great and that made the video game intersting. The levels of hell were accurate, but this warrior Dante is terrible. Superb voice-acting. This subtracts from you getting comfortable with the charactors, as after a few segments, everone looks somewhat different to oddly different from thier appearance in the first segment.

Beatrice was the representation of Divine Love and was absolutely pure and not only that, she was also profoundly wise teaching Dante much on his journey.
